When seven hungry children have pancakes for breakfast, one pancake refuses to be eaten... That is unbelievable. Just kidding, but the pancake jumped right out of the pan and rolled out of the door. The family, they all went running after runaway pancake. Can the runaway pancake escape from the whole family, the dog, the rabbit, the duck, the cat, the goat, the fox and a cunning pig!?

This is retold by Mairi Mackinnon, and illustrated by Silvia Provantini. This is USBORNE FIRST READING: LEVEL FOUR, but I don't think too difficulut. The illustration is so funny, so you can also enjoy them. Anyway, I recommend you to read this book when you are disappointed. This book maybe make you funny.

Percy Pike and his family lived on a farm by the sea, and spent all day working in their tiny filed. However, there was never enough to eat. Early one morning, Percy came up with a plan, that is, fishing trip, but it runs into trouble. He's captured by pirates, but the capatain was terrible I thikn. Can Percy escape before he's forced to walk tha plank?!

 I chose this book because this book has really cute illustrations. This is written by Russell Punter, and illustrated by Kate Sheppard. It's USBORNE FIRST READING: LEVEL FOUR, but is easy to read. It has about 50 pages, but hasn't too many words. I recommend you to read this! After reading this, you maybe think about doing good things is very important!

Welcome to Hungry Tummy!

This restaurant's crew are Yui, Tomohiro and Yukie. We grew up together. From now, I talk about our restaurant's history. We were friends from childfood, and we were always hungry. We loved eating too much, so we decided to open our restaurant someday. Yui were good at management, so she studies it and does it now. Tomohiro were good at making dishes, so he studies it and now he is a cook. Yukie were good at making candies, and studies it in France and she is a patissiernow. We built our restaurant two year ago. The reason why we chose this place as our restaurant is it's easy to get here. It'll take about 15 minutes from downtown by bus. You can get here by bus, of course. There are bus stops over there. How did you come? Anyway, I'm glad you have a wonderful dinner. Bye.

My Favorite Season

I would like to write about my favorite season. My favorite season is spring! At first, I really don’t like hot days because it’s too hard to live in hot days. Kumamoto is one of the hottest prefectures I think, so I hate its summer… When I say about winter, in fact, I don’t like cold days. However, I will go to Montana from next summer. I’ve heard it is too cold from my friend. I wonder if I can live…  In conclusion, I like spring the best because it is warm and makes me feel comfortably warm. I love spring! One of my friends said I don’t like spring because I have to change the class. Surely, when we were student, we had to change the class. It has fun and restlessness, but in the university, we don’t have to change the class, and we can spend time with our best friends. Also we can meet new people in spring. It’s a lot of fun! Can’t wait next spring!

Favorite Candies

Today I would like to write about my favorite candies. I have a lot of favorite candies, for example, chocolate, candies, and ice creams. I can't write down all because I have too much favorite candies. Today I want to introduce some of them, for example, I like chocolate very much, and especially "KitKat" is the best. The name is good I think. When I was a junior high school and a high school student, I gave them for my seniors to pray for their passing the exams for entering high schools and universities. When I was a high school student, I liked slab chocolate but these days I like something taste of chocolate better than. I like candy too, especially throat candy taste of grape. The rest... I like ice creams very much. In summer, I want to eat it every day I think. Something cold make me refresh in hot days.

Favorite TV Stars

Today I would like to write about my favorite TV stars. My favorite TV star, especially child star is Mana Ashida. She is very clever and cute girl. At first, I didn't know about her but I watched "Marumo no Okite," which is TV drama, and I became interested in her. Marumo no okite has two child stars. One of them is Fuku suzuki. He is very cute boy too. They are same age, and they are second-year in elementary schools I think. I like children, so I like child stars better I think. Of course, I have favorite adult stars, for example, Yui Aragaki. She plays a role at the drama, which is known as "LEAGAL HIGH." She is cute too. I like Satomi Ishihara too. She is very beautiful, and I like Haruka Ayase. She is very wonder woman I think.

Favorite Fruits

Today I would like to write about my favorite fruits. My favorite fruit is Japanese pears. I really love it. The pear is now in season, so I want to eat it every day. My families love it too. When my mother peels a lot of fruits, for example, pears, apples and kaki, and put them it tupper, pears disappear at first. I like pears better than apples. In Japan, Japanese pears mean nashi. When I say my favorite fruit, of course I say nashi in Japanese but sometimes around me for a second moment think that you don't have favorite food? However, after that they found nashi doesn’t mean anything but a Japanese pear. In English, I don't have to worry about it, and it's good I think. In addition to this, I love peach too. It was delicious.

Favorite Sport To Watch

Today I would like to write about my favorite sport to watch. It is baseball, especially high school baseball games. You know, when I was a junior high school and a high school student, I joined the brass band club and played the tenor saxophone every day. When I was a high school student, I and my peers cheered our old high school baseball team every summer. When I was a first-grade in high school, my seniors were all busy for brass band contest. So only first grade members cheered our old high school baseball team. There were no 20 members. Playing performance with many people is better, but we had no choice. I and my peers did our best, and our old high school baseball team won through to the third round. So our seniors finished their contest and we cheered together. It was a lot of fun. Since then, I like to watch baseball games very much.

Today I would like to write about my favorite drinks. One of my favorite drinks is water, which is known as I LOHAS. It has 2 tastes, that is, apple and tangerine (orange). I like better water taste of apple than water taste of orange. I often 2 liters of water bottle at discount store, and I put in my bottle. However, there is only water taste of orange in there. I like water taste of apple better, and that’s too bad for me. I always think why there isn't water taste of apple there. I only can buy it at vending machines and convenience stores. I often buy it at a vending machine under building no12. In summer, cold drink is good but these days it’s getting cold, so I want water taste of apple at discount store someday.

Favorite movies

Today I would like to write about my favorite movie. I like watching movies, and I have some favorite movies, for example, TOY STORY, Monsters Inc., Monsters University, Finding Nemo, Ponyo on the Cliff by the Sea, and etc... Especially, I like Pixer's movies very much. When I watched the movie, I was so exciting. Their movies, for example, TOY STORY are so exciting and have dreams, for example, after watching TOY STORY, I thought I would like to deal with my things around me. I like movies which have dreams and messages. It's good for children to watch those movies I think. After watching Finding Nemo, I thought I couldn't eat fish from now on but I ate it sometimes so I have to gratitude fish. After watching Monster Inc. and Monsters University, I thought Monsters may come my room to threaten or make me laugh in midnight. Uh, I’m a fancy girl. haha

I was a cat!?

　One day, I woke up to find that I’m not a human being.  I wasn't in my room.

“Oh my goodness! Where is here?”

“Unbelievable! Who am I?”

I was upset, but I who am not a human being was recovered my presence of mind unexpectedly early.

Because I felt as if I were in a dream!

But! Several minutes later, a black man entered the room and walked up to me.

He held me in his arms and said to me.

“Kitty! Kitty! How a cute you are!”

I tried to say “I’m not Kitty” to him, but the voice that came out from me was a cry.

“Mew. Mew. ”

I couldn't understand the situation, but I was a cat called Kitty.

At the time, a housekeeper entered the room and said him.

“Mr. Revels, there’s a telephone call for you!”

He responded “OK.” And he went out the room.

In the room, there are only two people, the housekeeper and I.

Then, the housekeeper talked to me.

“Kitty. Mr. Revels has a hard time to become the senator. His happiness is only playing with you! Please look after him.”

And the housekeeper went out the room too.

Several minutes later, he came and walked up to me.

He held me in his arms and said to me.

“I have a hard time now. But this hard time is to my family and black peoples in the world.”

First of all, I could understand the situation.

I’m a cat called Kitty. My owner is Mr. Revels who has a hard time to be the senator.

I began to pretend Kitty for the time being.

When he called Kitty, I cried.

When he talked to me, I cried too.

He had a wife and five daughters, but he didn't complain to them, because he didn't want them to worry about him.

He was a kind person.

Such one day, the day was an election day, he run into our room and said to me

“I became the first black senator! Thanks to you! Kitty! ”

He cried for joy.  I cried for joy too.

Just then, my body began to shine. “Mew. Mew. … Myuu”　

“Eh?”

“Oh!”

I began to speak language.

He was surprised at looking at me. 

I was surprised at too! But I could understand the situation.

I would return me, a human being. I said to him “Thanks to you! Good luck!”

Vacation 5-Something special I did during this vacation

I would like to write about something special I did during this vacation. To tell the truth, I did a special thing during my lifetime in this summer. This year I will be 20-years-old, and have a coming-of-age ceremony on January. I chose a long-sleeved kimono last spring, and this summer I took many pictures. It’s called maedori (taking ceremonial pictures before the event). I did many trademark poses like a model. Haha I was ashamed, but enjoyed it. I took many pictures with my family and siblings. We took it for a long time, so we had a very good time!

Vacation 1-My vacations plans/preparation (past, present and future)

Today I would like to write about my vacation plans and preparation. I have some plans during this summer vacation. First, I will go to my old high school with my best friends from high school. One of them goes to a university in Tokyo and she will return to Kumamoto. I can hang out with her for the first time in 4 months! Second, I will go to Oita with my siblings. I really like hot springs so I'm looking forward to it. Third, I will go to Aso to see my best friends. I spent last summer with them so I'm glad to see them again. Week 15-Vacation plans

I would like to write about vacation plans. This summer, I want to go to Hiroshima, Fukushima and Tokyo. My cousin’s family lives in Hiroshima, so I want to go there to see them. My grandmother lives in Fukushima now, so I want to go there with my cousin to see her. In addition, I really want to go to Tokyo, especially Tokyo Disney Resort. This year is happiness year in TDL. I have never been there, and I really want to go there. Summer vacation is long, and I want to have good time. Week 13-Your own topic

Today I would like to write about my brother. As I said the other day, I have a younger sister and a younger brother, and I would like to write about my brother today. He is Yasuhisa, and his nickname is Yasu. He is 16-years-old, and his birthday is February 26. He is a high school student, and he get to school by bicycle. It takes about 20 minutes to get to school. He joins the volleyball club. When he was an elementary school student, he joined the basketball club, but he changed his club. Since then, he plays volleyball every day. He eats toooooooooo much. I'm surprised every day... and, he isn't good at getting early, so he usually oversleeps and go to school quickly. Morning time for him is too important!
